Every fall, countless people all across the country journey to their favorite hawk watch to observe the beauty of hawks in flight. But watching hawks is more than aesthetic enjoyment, it’s also a scientific pursuit. Join Bedford Audubon and Westmoreland Sanctuary as we host speaker Brian Bielfelt, an area hawk watcher, who will discuss the connection between the hawk flights in our area and the population declines observed in the birds of prey over the past twenty years.
