Sheep Shearing at Rainbeau Ridge, Sun, April 26th!

Sheep Shearing set for April 26th!

Join us for our annual Sheep Shearing event, from 1-4pm on Sunday, April 26th. (NOTE that this is a date change from May 3rd.) Come to watch the sheep, including the Jacob Sheep, get their annual fiber haircuts . . . and enjoy a full afternoon of special activities for the whole family.

You will be able to experience the whole farm at your leisure in addition to participating in all of the fun activities we have planned. The fee is $30 per family or $25 for CAP Members and current Kids' Programs participants.

Here's only some of what's in store:

* Sheep Shearing, throughout the afternoon

* Fiber activities, work with real sheep fiber

  • wash wool
  • card the clean wool
  • spin it into usable strands of yarn!
  • use roving to make a project

* Add your creativity to our group weaving project in the woods

* Help 'Weave a Story' about the farm with Meaghan Bazaar

* Become mesmerized in Kobi's story, That's a Lot of Mommies

* Enjoy Rainbeau Ridge with self-guided tours

* Delight in live music through the course of the afternoon

  • In One Wind, featuring Angelo Spagnolo and Lila Claire Nussbaum

* Meet the NEWest members of Rainbeau Ridge, the new goat kids!
