Ban Fracking: Rally and March, Monday June 17th

Get On the Bus to Albany to Join the Ban Fracking Rally & March!

On Monday 6/17/13 at the East Capitol Lawn in Albany, from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm, rally and march to ban fracking and say yes to renewable energy now.

Governor Cuomo is telling us once again that his fracking decision for New York State may be just weeks away. If you want to keep the water we drink and the air we breathe clean, please get on the bus and join us in Albany for a ban fracking rally and march. People from every part of New York State will stand united in Albany to demand that Governor Cuomo reject fracking and invest urgently in New York’s renewable energy future. If thousands of people show up in Albany on June 17, it will send a clear signal that Governor Cuomo can not ignore.

Please reserve your seat on the bus right now by clicking here: Register for Bus.

Please take the day and make the time to join us in Albany on June 17 and make this the biggest anti-fracking rally and march ever in New York State.

Hudson Clearwater Revival Festival: Saturday/Sunday June 15/16, Croton-on-Hudson

Hudson Clearwater Revival Festival

The 2013 Clearwater Festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 15 and 16 at Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson, Westchester County, NY.  Festival gates open to attendees at 9AM.

Come visit Katonah Green's founder, Heather Flournoy, at the Green Cities Expo Tent at the revival. Besides a great music line up (my favorites this year are: Judy Collins, Hot Tuna, Buffy Sainte-Marie and Westchester's own Matt Turk. But there are so many more!) this festival is a unifying and rejuvenating event for people who care about environmental sustainability.

Join thousands of people as they spend a weekend enjoying the music and beautiful park.

About the festival: The 2013 Clearwater Festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 15 and 16 at Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson, Westchester County, NY.  Festival gates open to attendees at 9AM.

Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival (aka “the Clearwater Festival” or “Revival”) features seven sustainably powered stages with diverse music, dance, storytelling and family-oriented programming as well as juried crafts, the Green Living Expo, the Working Waterfront with small boat exhibits and rides, an artisanal food & farm market, environmental education displays and exhibits, and the Circle of Song where audience participation is the focus. The festival is wheelchair accessible and most stage programming is staffed with American Sign Language interpreters.

Inspired by Pete Seeger’s desire to clean up the river over forty years ago, Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival initially helped raise the funds to build the sloop Clearwater, which has since become a world-renowned floating classroom and a symbol of effective grassroots action. Today, Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc. is a non-profit organization that sails at the forefront of the nation’s environmental challenges. The revenue raised by the Revival goes to support Clearwater’s numerous educational programs and its work toward environmental and social justice—as well as keeping the sloop Clearwater afloat. - See more at: http://www.clearwaterfestival.org/festival-info/about-the-festival/#sthash.8LwISBwJ.dpuf
