Slow Food Potluck Meetup, Saturday, Feb 27th, South Salem

Slow Food Potluck hosted by Enviro-photographer J Henry Fair

KatonahGreen is organizing a series of Slow Food Potlucks in northern Westchester

Inspired by Josh Viertel's incredibly inspiring talk on Food, Land and Sustainability, we're scheduling a series of potlucks in hopes that they will help to foster a sense of community around food and sustainability issues. After all, what better way than sharing food to do this?

The first one of 2010 will be a potluck held in the home of renowned enviro-photojournalist J. Henry Fair in South Salem. Henry will briefly talk about his project Industrial Scars. For this event only we will have a vegetarian meal.

Please bring a dish to share. When you RSVP you can let the group know what you'll bring so that it's easier for the rest of us to plan.

In respect of Henry's incredible commitment to low-impact living, please contact me for ride-shares and make sure your dish is prepared with organically-raised whole, vegetarian foods, as local as possible.

Directions will be emailed to you after you RSVP on the KatonahGreen Meetup site.

Find out more about Slow Food Westchester on their blog or Facebook group.
We look forward to eating with you!
