No Fracking Way! Music and Talk on Hydrofracking, Katonah, March 25th
Friday, March 25 · 7:30pm - 9:30pm
NoKa Joe's, Upstairs Gallery, 25 Katonah Avenue, Katonah
A free community event, focused on the dangers of hydrofracking and how one Katonah resident is fighting it...with songwriting.
Evan Kreeger of Vinylmerica will open the evening with video clips from the wonderful No Nukes concert in Madison Square Garden.
Marc Black will talk about his project and perform "No Fracking Way", the featured song in his project. Although it was written to raise awareness about the dangers of hydrofracking in New York State, it has received attention all the way to Australia. He'll also talk about the project, how it's affected him and what the next steps are in the campaign.
Then Heather Flournoy of Katonah Green and Really Social Strategies will talk briefly about what you can do to make positive change, support important causes and mobilize others right now.
Friday, March 25, 7:30 pm
Hosted by Noka Joe's in the Upstairs Gallery and Furniture Shop
PLEASE NOTE: There are no public restrooms at NoKa's, so try to plan accordingly.
