Lewisboro Environmental Film & Discussion Series: Chasing Ice. Saturday, Nov 23

Saturday's in Lewisboro just got even better! Head to the farmer's market in the morning for hot organic coffee, samples of some tasty foods, and fresh baked goods from regional artisan bakers, while you choose from the best our region offers in meats, vegetables, cheeses and more; then head over to the recycling center to drop off those hard-to-dispose of electronics (9-12); then plan an evening out. We'll be showing a great film and then have plenty of time for discussion and catching up with friends!

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 23rd, 7pm
Lewisboro Library, 15 Main St, South Salem

"Heart stopping"  "Breathtaking"

Chasing Ice is the story of one man’s mission to change history by gathering undeniable evidence of our changing planet. Photographer James Balog deployed time-lapse cameras across the brutal Arctic to capture a multi-year record of the world’s changing glaciers. His videos compress years into seconds and capture ancient mountains of ice in motion as they disappear at a breathtaking rate. For more on the film, go to http://www.chasingice.com.

Presented by the Lewisboro Sustainability Committee. Sponsored by Ring's End Lumber and Gossett's Winter Farmer's Market and Energize Lewisboro, the town's home energy efficiency program.

There is a suggested donation of $5 per person, or $10 per family. GMO free popcorn and herbal teas with local honey will be served!

You may register by calling the library at 763-3857, or sending an email to lewisborolibrary@gmail.com
